Admin functionalities in the Benify platform

One focus area of my role at Benify has been the admin experience where I have been involved in building and designing several products and new functionalities to develop the product forward. The journey to put administrators in control of their platform is still ongoing, and the content management system is continuously expanding.

AI ASSISTANCE

A prototype to visualise the possibilities that AI can bring to the content management system. This was made to showcase the power of AI and how it can be included in the Benify platform to utilise the newest technology and make the system more influential to our users.

INVESTIGATION AND RESEARCH

Every new functionality needs to have its purpose and meaning. It also needs to be intuitive and fit into the already existing product. The beginning of each new project always starts with an investigation and research phase to find out the purpose, goals, and use cases, and to learn more about user expectations, pain points, and opportunities. I use different methods depending on the focus area when working in the investigation and research phase. Interviews, focus groups, and usability testing are often useful to understand the user's behaviour and thoughts better. When this is done, I organise workshops to explore ideas and possible solutions with other designers, stakeholders, or developers.

COMMUNICATION

Creating use flows and clearly describing user journeys, changes in interaction flows and the different steps in a design is a part of my process. I experience that it makes it easier to communicate an idea with fewer misunderstandings and unforeseen patterns.

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

For the content management system, the target users are administrators at the client company where this function will put them in control over their own content and be able to manage their offers to their employees in an easier and more modern way. This means that there is a large group of users with a large variety of characteristics. Our users are in different countries and speak different languages, they differ in how much previous knowledge and experience they have with similar tools, their expectations and the fact that they are in different markets with different offerings.


Due to the complexity of the product and the variations within the target group, customer feedback and usability testing with external users is key making sure we develop useful and robust products to fit every scenario. I'm facilitating and moderating workshops, usability tests, interviews etc. and driving customer feedback into development to constantly improve and ensure that the product meets the customer's requirements and expectations.
